Version 5
Hey,
So, having a load of free time right now, a new version is available. Not entirely sure about this one. The ideas I like, and are good, but it may be a bit unbalanced (possibly too easy, due to low power costs?). If anyone wants to try it and give feedback, it'd be appreciated. This version is a bit smaller than usual, and a tad unfinished for this build, hopefully we can get the Linux version and the stable build up in a couple of days.
This version introduces a new Name: Merchant of Nightmares
It is a political Name, based around the concept of spreading fear and exploiting it. You can turn nations against each other, and degrade the people's trust in their rulers, or cause them to form factions which mutually despise one another. In this chaos, you can position yourself as the only logical candidate (in the noble's increasingly illogical minds), and take control, then begin isolating your remaining opponents, before launching on a campaign of global war to invade the rest of the map.
Since it's political, we've tried giving most of the powers no power costs, and only using cooldowns. A new approach, but may leave the player with too much power to spend on other things? Maybe, unsure as of yet.
Anyway, hope you enjoy and are staying safe throughout this world-wide crisis.

This is great stuff.
Don't care about the low cost, the thing is that the game promotes a far more Machiavellian approach.
This is almost a return to the 'social engineering' aspects of the older versions.
Thank you
